Kim: You have to put yourself on top of the food chain if you're going to be successful in music and be able to make a living at it. I told myself a long time ago, on harmonica… I'm going to be on everything.
Now I'm not on everything, but I'm on a lot. I'm on records by great artists: Mark Knopfler, Eric Clapton, Bonnie Raitt, Little Feat, Paul Simon. I've worked with new guys like Kenny Wayne Shepherd and all the way back to artists like Willie "Big Eyes" Smith. I did a great live record with Jimmy Rogers that actually won some awards.
But you have to put yourself at the very top of that food chain to have any success at all.
